Just a small correction: the date seal is Monkey 5, the 5th month of 1860. This is what I believe it looked like before shrinking (see above).
And Dan is right, of course: it was originally an oban series (see another print at http://www.hum.pref.yamaguchi.jp/seek/cgi-bin/index_2.idc?nu=U01127).
