It does seem to be very rare, but the 300 copies must surely refer to the first edition only. There are later editions too. In 1934 a revised edition was published. My own copy is from a new printing in 1968, and in the online catalogue of the Library of Congress an edition from 1994 is listed.

By the way, a copy of the first edition was recently listed in the Ukiyo-e Books catalogue no. 22. It may still be available.
