I am doing an assignment on the influence of japanese art on the movement of impressionism, especially on the artists mary cassatt, claude monet and vincent van gough. I believe that the meiji period was a great influence, and the japanese prints. Please could you give me information on artists names, and the styles used, that influenced the french landscape painters especially the impressionists.
